General Information

1What ages can attend Fun Adventure?
Fun Adventure welcomes children ages 4 to 10.
2How are campers grouped?
Campers are grouped by age in two cohorts: ages 4–6 and ages 7–10. This helps keep activities better suited to each group’s stage, interests, and confidence level.
3Do campers need to be potty trained?
Yes. Campers must be fully potty trained and able to use the washroom independently, including changing their clothes if needed.
4What is your staff-to-camper ratio?
We maintain low staff-to-camper ratios of approximately 1:5 on field trips and up to 1:10 during indoor activities, depending on age group and group size. This allows for closer supervision, stronger engagement, and a safer, more supportive experience for every child.
5Who are your counsellors?
Our counsellors include enthusiastic educators, youth workers, and students who are carefully selected for their ability to work with children. All staff undergo background checks, hold CPR and First Aid certification, and receive training in camp safety and supervision.
6Is Fun Adventure a full-day camp?

Yes. Core camp hours run from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for all Fun Adventure program options.

Early drop-off starting at 6:45 a.m. and late pickup until 5:30 p.m. are included with Fun Adventure — Full Experience and Fun Adventure — On-Site Extended Day.

Families enrolled in Fun Adventure — Field Trip Core Day or Fun Adventure — On-Site Core Day may drop off from 8:30–9:00 a.m. and pick up from 4:00–4:30 p.m.

7Do you offer a camp guide or parent handbook?
Yes. A detailed Parent Handbook will be emailed to all registered families prior to the start of camp.
8Can you accommodate campers who require one-on-one support?
While we strive to be inclusive, our staffing model does not allow for dedicated one-on-one care. Campers must be able to participate in group activities and use the washroom independently. A support worker may be required.
9Can I register for part of the week?
Registration is weekly. Campers may attend fewer days if needed; however, fees remain the same.
10Are camp locations air-conditioned?
Some areas are air-conditioned and others are not. On warmer days, we take extra precautions including shaded activities and additional water breaks.
11Who can pick up my child?
Only a parent, guardian, or authorized pick-up person listed on the registration form may sign out a camper. Photo ID may be requested.
12What should my child bring for lunch?
Campers should bring a nut-free lunch, two snacks, and a water bottle each day. To help keep all children safe, please do not pack peanuts, tree nuts, or foods containing nuts. We also recommend sending foods your child can open and enjoy independently.

Health & Safety

1Illness & Communicable Diseases

To help keep all campers and staff healthy, please do not send your child to camp if they are experiencing symptoms of illness or have a communicable disease, including but not limited to cold or flu-like symptoms, fever, vomiting, diarrhea, chickenpox, pink eye, hand-foot-and-mouth disease, lice, or COVID-19.

Families should follow public health guidance and/or advice from a medical professional regarding when it is appropriate for their child to return to camp.

If a camper becomes ill while at camp, a parent or guardian will be contacted and asked to pick up their child as soon as possible if the camper is unable to participate in activities or is showing visible signs of illness (e.g., vomiting, fever, fatigue, or other concerning symptoms).

Camp fees are not refunded for days missed due to illness.

2What if my child is sick and cannot attend?
If your child is unwell, please keep them home and let us know as soon as possible. We understand that illnesses happen; however, camp fees are not refunded for days missed due to illness or other personal absences, as staffing, programming, and operational costs remain unchanged.
3Do staff administer medication?
Staff do not administer medication except in emergencies.
4Is Fun Adventure a nut-aware camp?
Yes. Fun Adventure is a nut-aware camp. Families must not send foods containing peanuts or tree nuts, and we ask parents to check ingredient labels carefully before packing food. If your child has any food allergies or other medical needs, please let us know before camp begins. While we take precautions to help reduce risk, we cannot guarantee a completely nut-free environment.
